Earth and tree growing

God has good plans for us. Not harm but hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)

God uses all things in our lives, circumstances, pain, hurt, troubles – He allows them all to bring good to us – He turns what is meant for evil into good.

God is not inactive or reactive but working and active in all things – working out his plan to bring Glory to Him and Good to us.

He is working out His beautiful and glorious plan he made for our lives. He planned our days, our whole life before the world began. He saw it all including the sin and evil that would affect our lives. He worked it all out, working it all together like only He can. (Psalm 139:13-15, Psalm 139:16-17)

Life

God uses and allows all life’s circumstances, hardships, trials, testing, grief, hopelessness, loneliness – any troubles for many reasons including drawing us back or to Him, helping us to grow and learn in Him, to move us closer and bring us deeper into Him, to show us new things and guide us further along in our journey with Him, to grow our knowledge of Him and show us His deep love and care for us.

If life was easy we would not grow. It is in the hard times that we grow and learn the most. I believe that is part of why God allowed the fall of man and sin to enter into the world. We would not know of God’s love and care for us without the cross – the pain and tragedy of the cross was part of God’s plan from the beginning to bring us back to Him because even though we deserved judgment His love and mercy could not let us stay lost and on the path to death without Him. (Romans 5:8, John 3:16)

God allows things to go the way they do even if it is not the way it “should” go because He knows the perfect way to bring things about for our good to draw and produce growth in us and His Kingdom. God holds everything in His hands. (Romans 8:28)

God’s Plan

God doesn’t allow things to hurt us – He is not out to get us – He allows things to teach, move, open and draw us. Sin and its effects make God sad. He feels our pain. He cares. He miraculously works it all into the good He has for us.

God gives us everything. He can take it whenever he wants, not out of selfishness but in His love He allows it to be taken away. Everything is on loan from Him. Even our lives – we are here for a certain amount of time, determined by Him. Even our health, family, friends, relationships, food, water, clothes, possessions, accomplishments etc. – all freely given and entrusted to us by God. We need to be grateful and treasure each thing, but sin has a way of ruining it all. That is why God also gave us Christ, to make a way to himself, to reconciliation with Him in a Personal relationship with Him. Through Him we can overcome the tragedy of the sin in this world. (1 John 5:4, Ephesians 5:15)

God never promised the path would be easy, but he did promise to be with us every moment and every step. (John 16:33)

God allows things to bring about his good purposes. We are to live one day, one moment at a time walking with Him. Not trying to figure out all the why’s, but trusting Him through them. Everything negitive, everything meant for evil, God uses for Good – for our good as His children, for His good purposes, for His glory, for His good plan. (Matthew 6:31-32, Matthew 6:33-34)

Examples from Gods Word

He did it several times in the Bible, most notably in the story of Joseph. He can turn any situation around and bring good out of it. He is working for our good. Just trust and hold on. He will help you.

Adam and Eve chose to disobey and sin came into the world. Fellowship with God was broken and all evil came into existence. God allowed it so He could come and make a way by dying in our place, taking our punishment on Himself. In that way He could truly make known His great love and mercy for each of us. (1 John 4:9-10)

Christ came and lived among us, but was rejected by His own people and handed over to die a very painful and slow death on a cross, a criminals death even though He was innocent. He never sinned yet all sin was laid upon Him. He died tragically in the prime of His life, but it was for us, to save us. He faced rejection, loneliness, sadness and soul crushing grief so we could have abundant life in Him. (Matthew 26:38-39)

Joseph was betrayed by his jealous brothers. Sent to a foreign nation as a slave, eventually being accused falsely and thrown in prison for many years. He was forgotten by the people and ruler of the nation He was in, but not by God. After all of it, all he went through, God brought good out of it. He used it to save many people from a great famine that came over the land. He raised Joseph us to a leadership position and gave him wisdom and knowledge to create a plan to feed the nation he was in and surrounding lands, saving many peoples lives including his own family and the brothers who sold him. (Genesis 50:20)

Conclusion

We are Victorious in Christ – He has already Won – He has Overcome so we can confidently walk through life with Him.

Gods timing is always perfect and there is nothing He can’t fix, renew, and restore. We are never too far gone.

God is always fighting for us in every situation and circumstance. He only allows things for our own good in some way He will make good from everything. (Deuteronomy 31:6)

Our birth and our life was planned long ago before even the foundations of the earth. God has planned everything in our life and if we let him guide, direct, and drive our life he will do through us all that he planned for us to do. We will not leave this earth till it is completely accomplished. The hurts, pain, grief and sorrow of this life we would never choose but He has chosen life to have these times because these very things that we wish were not, are the very things that make us grow, develop, learn and bring us to Him. They enable all that we were created to be, but only if we let Him work in and through us. (Ephesians 2:10, Philippians 1:6)

God allows things because He knows the perfect way to bring things about for us to  grow into his likeness. God holds everything including us securely in His hands even when our life seems unstable.
