God wants you to believe in Him. To know God and have a personal relationship with Him. He has a plan and purpose for your life. He created you and made you perfectly. He knows you and loves you completely. He wants to give you a future and a hope. He offers abundant life in knowing Him. He wants to take your burden. He wants to be your best friend and walk with you as you go throughout life. He wants to be your savior and strength. Your peace and comfort, joy and hope.
Jeremiah 29:11-12
For I know what I have planned for you,’ says the LORD. ‘I have plans to prosper you, not to harm you. I have plans to give you a future filled with hope. When you call out to me and come to me in prayer, I will hear your prayers.
John 10:10
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come so that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.
Matthew 11:28-30
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke on you and learn from me because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and my load is not hard to carry.”
God’s Sacrifice for You to know Him
God sent His son to die for you. To take your place and punishment. We all need a savior. We can’t save ourselves. We are born sinners. We rebel against God every day. But because of His love for us, God came to us even while we still lived in rebellion against Him. He died and took our judgment. He rose again defeating death and judgment in Hell if we believe in Him.
What the Bible says:
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 10:9-10
That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
Romans 10:11
As the Scripture says, ‘Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.’
To know God and place your faith in Jesus, God’s son, and receive God’s gift of eternal life you must:
Recognize
that you are a sinner and that you need a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.
Confess
(agree with God about) your sins.
Repent
of your sins (turn from sin to God).
Ask
Jesus to save you by His grace.
Give Over
rule in your life to Jesus. Let Him be your Lord.
Pray this prayer:
Dear God,
Please forgive me for my sins and come into my life. I believe in you and want you to be my Lord. I give everything to you. Thank you for your love and grace and especially for your son. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
